Brand Identity / Concept and design

JBM Shutters & Security

I was asked by Joe to create a logo for his new company JBM Shutters and Security. Joe and I have also worked on Chapelford Gates when it was originally set up several years ago.

A brand (or trade mark) is a way for a business to help people to identify the products that the business makes from products made by another business. A trademark can be a name, word, phrase, symbol, logo, design, or picture. It can only be used on things made by the business that owns the trademark.

Joe was after a simple logo that stood out and incorporated the 'shutter part' of the company, hence the two vertical lines. Once the logo was finalised I created a number of stationery items such as: business cards and 'on-site' forms that could be used to keep track of his projects.

Brand Identity explained and what Black Swan Creative can offer you

What is Brand Identity?

The outward expression of a brand, including its name, trademark, communications, and visual appearance – is brand identity. Because the identity is assembled by the brand owner, it reflects how the owner wants the consumer to perceive the brand – and by extension the branded company, organization, product or service. This is in contrast to the brand image, which is a customer's mental picture of a brand. The brand owner will seek to bridge the gap between the brand image and the brand identity. Brands typically are made up of various elements, such as: name, logo, tagline, graphics, shapes, and colours etc.

Black Swan Creative creates exclusive logos for your company

All logos I create are bespoke to your company and are not based on templates. Your design will be truly unique to you and your company. I will liaise with you regarding your specific business and present you with a few different conceptual ideas, we can then work on these and produce a final logo.

What next?
After creating your unique logo this can then be used as a basis for creating a branding programme for all stationery, signage and digital.
